Dear Cricket Community,

As sport continues to prepare for a return, we are delighted to be able to share with you Australian Cricket’s Guidelines to Clubs and participants regarding COVID-19.

Cricket Australia and State & Territory Associations have worked together to provide how we can best support our cricket communities across Australia. Cricket NSW staff have been working on scenario planning to ensure our communities can be as prepared and supported as they can be as we move closer to the resumption of cricket training and competitive competitions.

Return to Cricket Guidelines

Australian Crickets Guidelines have been released today, Friday 29 May, and are available at the MyCricket Community website www.community.cricket.com.au/clubs/covid-19/ . This will be the central hub for all Australian Cricket Guidelines and information as we navigate our way through the COVID-19 pandemic.

We encourage you to explore and review the information housed here as it covers:

Return to Play Roadmap

Return to Play Guidelines

Return to Training Guidelines

Additional Resources

There is an array of helpful information for you as a participant or a club representative as you start your planning to get back on the grounds around NSW.

We would again just like to remind players and clubs when speaking of Community Cricket, we are referring to all non-professional cricket competitions including Premier Cricket, Junior and Senior Association Cricket, Pathway Cricket, Non Elite Representative Cricket, non-affiliated Social Cricket, Entry Level Programs and Community Cricket Carnivals. Elite Cricket refers to Professional Cricket and Cricketers. This information is for Community Cricket players, clubs and competitions.

These guidelines are overarching for cricket, and still need to be read in conjunction with NSW Public Health Orders as ultimately, the NSW Government will confirm requirements and public guidelines which all sports need to comply with when returning to training or playing. This includes a return to play date for community sport in NSW, which is yet to be announced.

For the most current information from the NSW Government, please go to www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19.

Cricket NSW will also continue to update our website (www.cricketnsw.com.au) if you are seeking further information. Of course, if you wish to speak to Cricket NSW about areas of need and support, please reach out to your local Cricket NSW Contact.

If you are unsure who your local Cricket NSW Contact is, please go to www.cricketnsw.com.au/community-cricket/who-is-your-local-cnsw-contact.

We would like to thank all our valued volunteers and contributors to cricket across NSW. We understand that COVID-19 guidelines may create additional burdens on our volunteers, and we want to reassure you we will continue to be here for you and all our cricket communities.

Regards,

Lee Germon
