Congratulations are extended to SSCUA member Gordon Smith who this coming Saturday will officiate his 300th Match in the Shires Competition.
Gordon is one of the founding members of the SSCUA joining the Association in its inaugural season in August 2001. Gordon this season celebrates his 20th year as a member of the SSCUA. In passing this outstanding 300 game milestone Gordon becomes just the 4th member to do so behind Stephen Blomfield, Ivan Holland and Spencer Harrison.
In his career with the SSCUA Gordon has umpired at the highest level standing in 24 matches in First Grade and also umpiring a number of Premiership deciders being selected to officiate in two Fourth Grade Grand Finals as well as the Frank Gray Shield Final in season 2006-07

1st Grade - 24 matches
2nd Grade - 87 matches
3rd Grade - 67 matches
4th Grade - 39 matches
5th Grade - 16 matches
Frank Gray Shield - 67 matches
TOTAL = 300 Matches
Gordon umpires his 300th Shires match this coming Saturday when he is partnered by his great mate Grahame Bell. They are allocated to the Georges River v Epping 4th Grade match to be played at Lance Hutchinson Oval.
